17 Beauty Products With Avocado To Feed Your Hair, Skin and Nails

On a quest to introduce you to carrier oils better than coconut oil, I’m starting with avocado for two reasons- one, avocado oil is my favorite oil of all time and two, a follower on Twitter specifically requested this post and I procrastinated a little bit and I totally have to stop doing that.

As it relates to the skin, avocado oil is packed with vitamin E, an anti-inflammatory antioxidant that calms inflamed skin and prevents itchiness, which makes avocado oil highly effective against eczema and other skin conditions that cause dry skin (source).  Avocado oil also has humectant properties, which prevents the skin from becoming dry. Avocado oil penetrates deep into the skin, resulting in softer skin, faster.

Thanks to major doses of biotin, vitamin E, and vitamin B, avocado oil is powerful enough to moisturize and repair hair. Avocado oil contains minerals that seal the hair’s cuticles, which prevents breakage (source).

Avocado oil prevents sun damage, heals skin, regrows hair, and fights damage. There’s nothing this mighty green fruit can’t do.

Now I know we are in the age of DIY, but everyone does not have time to create batches of products, so here are 17 hair, skin and body care products that contain avocado oil to nourish your hair, face, and body!
