Aloette Restorative Enzyme Peel (3)

From Aloette, the brand that uses the power of aloe vera to create skin changing skin care and beauty products is aloepure Restorative Enzyme Peel. The brand claims this peel changes your skin texture right before your eyes as it exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and reveals a healthy, hydrated glow.

Restorative Enzyme Peel features a combination of natural fruit extracts including grapefruit, cucumber, papaya and pineapple, combined with aloe vera to smooth and refresh dull skin. Keep reading to embark on this journey with me.

As a note, I have very dry skin overall. I suffer from hyperpigmentation occasionally, rosacea (the skin in my cheek area is very thin, dehydrated and red), and flaky skin in the t-zone area. When searching for a peel, I need something that is not going to further irritate my cheek area, but will remove dry skin and restore moisture.

Packaging

Restorative Enzyme Peel is packaged in a 2.3 oz clear jar with a black screw cap. The peel is bright green in color and gel-like in texture.

How to use

Aloette Restorative Enzyme Peel (2)

Gently rub in a circular motion onto a clean, dry face until exfoliated. Rinse with water and pat dry.

My experience

Aloette Restorative Enzyme Peel (4)

I applied a shot glass amount to my face and rubbed in a circular motion for roughly 10 to 15 seconds before the gel texture turned watery. After about a minute, I started to feel some weird texture. Something was beading up on my skin. I was under the impression that some magical beads had appeared. Nope. It was my dead skin. It was the most disgusting yet magical thing I had ever seen in my life.

You’ll be surprised to know that this neon, lime green goop does not sting or burn. I experienced no irritation at all. Not even in my super sensitive cheek area.

After using, my skin felt very soft, but it was not the most hydrated that it could be. I followed up with a hydrating sheet mask.

To be honest, I thought I had soft skin before this peel. I use BHA and dermaplane once a month. I was truly living a lie because NOW my skin is soft. The results are truly amazing. How has this product been on the market for so many years and I knew nothing about it? HOW??!

This peel is gentle enough that you can use it multiple times a week, but I think you will only need it once a week at best.

Aloette Restorative Enzyme Peel retails $40.95. Purchase from the Aloette website.

I’m intrigued. I’m all about peels lately that I rarely use my cleansing brush for exfoliation.

I can imagine it has a strong scent. By the look of it, I think I can’t stand the smell. But this is such an interesting product. I may try it soon.

This looks like such an interesting product. I’ve never used anything like this before. I may have to try it, though. I’m getting into my 30s and need to take better care of my skin.

YES!!! Thank you for sharing! I suffer from sensitive skin, always rosy cheeks, and if I wash too often (daily) my cheeks begin to flake. This is an excellent review of the product and I am glad that your experience was positive. I have neglected to use much on my skin due to so many adverse reactions but from your description – it sounds like your skin is pretty sensitive as well! I will happily check out this product!
