Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer It Got Away ….From Me, Yeah. Part One: The Women Of Doctor Who

Blue eyed girl dr who

I need to admit something before this review:

I know nothing about Doctor Who.

I know, I should at least know SOMETHING…but alas, I do not.  I’ve never watched any Doctor Who therefore I don’t have any knowledge or insight into the meaning behind this collection, so this will be purely about the polishes.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - A Long Time Ago Tomorrow

A Long Time Ago Tomorrow (two coats) is a saturated blue with glass-flecks.  When it dries, it leaves a satin finish.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - A Snogging Booth over You Just Want To Mate

A Snogging Booth? (one coat over You Just Want To Mate?!) is a mix of red, black and holographic fine glitter in a clear base.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - I'm Dr. Martha Jones, Who The Hell Are You

I’m Dr. Martha Jones, Who The Hell Are You? (two coats) is a bright orchid purple with green/gold glass-flecks.  Like A Long Time Ago Tomorrow, it has a satin finish.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Is That A Technical Term, Jiggery Pokery over I'm Dr. Martha Jones, Who The Hell Are You

Is That A Technical Term, Jiggery Pokery? (one coat over I’m Dr. Martha Jones, Who The Hell Are You?) is a mix of pink and silver holographic glitter in a sheer pink base.  This polish needs to be dabbed on to achieve consistent coverage.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Just Admiring Your Skills, Sweetie

Just Admiring Your Skills, Sweetie (two coats) is a dusty wisteria crème with a fine purple shimmer.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - You Just Want To Mate

You Just Want To Mate?! (two coats) is a red jelly with delicate gold glass-flecks.

As a bonus, I also have two limited edition polishes to feature:

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Sunburned Siren

Sunburned Siren (two coats) is a coral jelly with fine holographic gold glitter.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer -Terrific Twos over A Long Time Ago Tomorrow

Terrific Twos (one coat over A Long Time Ago Tomorrow) is a heavy light blue and holographic glitter in a clear base.

I adore the glass flecked polishes…not only are they bright and saturated; they have a jelly-like formula but are opaque in two coats.  The jellies also have a great formula; opaque in two coats!  The glitters are great in terms of coverage and aren’t too clumpy during application.  You really can’t go wrong with any of these polishes.

This collection will be released September 21, 2014.  There are two more parts to the Doctor Who collection: 5 will be released in October and 4 in November.

Are you a Doctor Who fan, or are you just as equally perplexed as I am?

I’ve never gotten Dr. Who. I do love that wisteria color.
