I have the worst relationship with my nails. Back in 2010, I was a dishwashing, 5 kid bathing, house cleaning mutha shut your mouth! But the kids have gotten older and they now take on the tasks that I used to do. 5 butts to wash turned into just 2. That means I have more time to take care of my nails.
Seche Rebuild was my BFF for three years, and then we fell apart. Mended, stronger nails eventually became so hard that my nail tips would just snap right off. It was time for a change. But I honestly didn’t know what to try.
My thoughts on Essie have always been very so/so. I loved the range of polishes, they always sold a nice collection of soft, girly shades. It took a $10 giftcard to introduce me to Essie treatments. That giftcard I was holding on to for a long time. It was right before my surgery, and I had pre-op goodies to buy and honestly after buying all that stuff, I didn’t have any money to buy makeup and that sucked. But in my wallet was this abandoned gift card with ten bucks on it. I browsed around the beauty section looking for something to buy, realizing there was nothing that attracted my attention. “I’ll go to the nail section and just grab a random polish.” I looked down at my nails and realized how much they sucked. They were very short, breaking, peeling and gross. So maybe I should get some sort of nail treatment to help my nails grow again. Honestly? I grabbed the Essie Millionails bottle because it was cute. The pink logo attracted me. The miraculous logo kept me.
I don’t have a before photo of my nails anymore, but I can show you an after:
I promise you my nails looked bad before. Straight nubs.
How Does Millionails Work?
According to Essie:
Bulletproof nails. fortified with iron, amino acids and kevlar, each bottle has 1 million fast acting molecules to help resist peeling and splitting for visibly stronger nails.
My nails are longer, stronger, but most importantly… flexible. My nails having more flex was so important because they were not breaking every time I bumped up against something. It was the first time in a long time that I was able to honestly love and enjoy my nails without the fear of breakage.
Essie Millionails retails for $10. You can find this nail treatment everywhere Essie products are sold.
