To celebrate Guess’s 30th Anniversary, they have released a new fragrance geared towards women in their twenties- Guess Girl. Guess Girl is bold and playful, sexy and exciting. If you are looking for a fragrance to make a must have for the spring going into the summer. This sweet fruity, floral fragrance is it.
Guess picked Amber Heard, an actress (that I am not familiar with), to be the face of the advertising campaign for this perfume.
Guess Girl starts off with hints of raspberry and melon. It has middle notes of orchid and lily with a vanilla dry down. I personally caught the raspberry and orchid notes, but the vanilla dry down takes longer than normal for me to catch (but again, I’m not a fragrance expert).
The fragrance leaves a very oily sheen on the skin, so be careful spraying this on your clothes. I believe it could stain for sure.
Guess Girl worked well with my body chemistry, and lasted for about 6 hours before the fragrance started to fade. This is pretty good because I have encountered fragrances with higher price points that didn’t last this long.
Is this fragrance unique in scent? No. I’ve smelled this perfume before, but I cant put my finger on what scent is very close to this one.
Honesty time? The bottle has a very cheap Walmart-esque design. The 1.7oz bottle is a sturdy glass bottle, very plain with the guess signature written from the bottom up. The cap of the bottle has a solid acrylic four petal flower with another mesh material flower in the middle. If I saw this bottle in Nordstrom’s off the design alone, I would pass right by it.
The promo images are far more impressive than the bottle in person.
If you have not made your final decision about what fragrance you want to pick for the Spring, consider this one. I loved the fresh, fruity notes. The bottle is not the most impressive on the market but hey, I can overlook the bottle for such a stellar scent. This is not a fragrance for the mature or mature at heart. When you think of this fragrance, think young, fruity, fresh.
