OPI has teamed up again with Gwen Stefani for their holiday 2014 collection. This collection features a plethora of cremes, jellies and glitters to satisfy your holiday wishes. I hope you brought snacks, because we’ve got quite a few polishes for you!
Christmas Gone Plaid (two coats) is a forest green crème.
Cinnamon Sweet (two coats) is a true red crème.
Comet In The Sky (one coat over Cinnamon Sweet) is a glitter topper with black and iridescent glitter in a clear base.
Fashion A Bow (two coats) is a red-toned orange jelly.
First Class Desires (two coats) is a plum packed with gold glass-flecks. It leans more brown than Zoya Sansa.
I Carol About You (two coats) is a purple crème with purple shimmer.
I’ll Tinsel You In (one coat over In A Holidaze) is a mix of white bar and square glitter with fine black glitter in a clear base. This is reminiscent of Lynnderella’s Connect The Dots.
In A Holidaze (three coats) is a wine red jelly.
Just Be-Claus (two coats) is a cranberry crème.
Kiss Me—Or Elf! (two coats) is a fuchsia shimmer.
Love Is Hot And Coal (two coats) is a charcoal-tinged brown shimmer.
Red Fingers & Mistletoes (two coats) is a pink-leaning red with gold glass-flecks.
Rollin’ In Cashmere (two coats) is a frosty gold shimmer.
Sleigh Parking Only (two coats) is a raisin crème.
Snow Globetrotter (one coat over Sleigh Parking Only) is a glitter topper with white and iridescent glitter in a clear base.
So Elegant (one coat over What’s Your Point-settia) is a glitter topper with gunmetal hexagonal glitter with fine black glitter in a clear base.
Unfrost My Heart (two coats) is a silver foil. This is a dupe of Coca-Cola’s My Signature Is “DC”.
What’s Your Point-settia (two coats) is a red crème with a touch of orange.
Overall, I was impressed by the glitter toppers. I worried they might be a bit too chunky and gloppy but the application was easier than expected. I was a bit dismayed at the sheer amount of reds, but Fashion A Bow was the stand out for me. I adore the orange-red jelly, a bright color that’ll take us right into spring.
OPI has also released Don’t Speak, an 18K gold top coat as an accompanying polish. It’s a bit pricey for me at $30, but it looks pretty spectacular!
Will you be picking up any of these as stocking stuffers? Maybe I can talk my husband into getting me Don’t Speak as a stocking stuffer…
