Disclosure: Press Sample

Believe it or not, there are women walking the earth that do not own a single red lipstick. It’s your responsibility to save a family member, friend or even co-worker with the Lipstick Queen Red Carpet Edit.

Lipstick Queen (2)

Lipstick Queen Red Carpet Edit by Poppy has three must have red lipsticks in various tones and finishes, so there’s wide variety with only three tubes in the set. Plus I really think this set is great for any woman of any skin tone, you can’t go wrong. Here’s what the brand has to say about the set:

Get your lips red-carpet ready with this set of three iconic lipsticks. For the
classic look, choose the nourishing yet matte formula of Red Sinner, the ultimate
true red. Prefer a more subtle look? Choose the sheer and moisturizing texture of
Saint Red for a kiss of color on your lips. And finally there’s Red Metal for a
mesmerizing metallic effect that feels as good on the lips as it looks. With this
wardrobe of classics you can wear any color, as long as it’s red!

From left to right:

Saint Red (gold tube) is a sheer red orange with a muted glossy finish. This is a great shade of red for anyone that’s afraid of red and does not wish to dive straight into a full red lipstick, but wants to give it a try. It’s sheer so it wears like a lip gloss. Saint Red hugs the lips, wears comfortably, and stays on for about 5 hours before you need to reapply.

Red Sinner (black tube)  is a clean, true red with a matte finish. This is gorgeous and I promise it looks great on all skin tones. You want Red Sinner in your arsenal when you no longer are afraid to wear a red lipstick. Red Sinner is not as drying as say Ruby Woo is on the lips. It’s actually quite comfortable and lasts 7 hours before it starts to fade.

Red Metal (silver tube) is a cool toned red with gold and blue micro glitter and a metallic finish.  When I saw Red Metal I instantly thought of Viva Glam Rihanna, but Red Metal is more pink in tone and definitely more in your face metallic (finish).

Lipstick Queen Red Carpet Edit retails for $55, which is a good deal for three red lipsticks. Available November 2014 at www.lipstickqueen.com, Space NK stores nationwide and Barneys New York
