On the heels of my Neutrogena Towelette review, I receive a pack of Garnier Clean Refreshing Cleansing Towelettes. Needless to say, they had a high standard to meet, and surprisingly, they failed.
Garnier Clean Refreshing Cleansing Towelettes are described as soft towelettes designed to remove impurities, oil, and makeup (even eye makeup) in one step.
Packaging is the same as a majority of your cleansing towelette packets. Garnier’s pack has 25 wipes with the dimensions 5.9in x 7.8in, making these wipes shorter, but wider than Neutrogena (7.4in x 7.2in).
Let’s just cut to the chase: these wipes do horrible at removing the most important pieces of makeup- eye makeup. When put up against mascara, it simply smudges it, eyeliner does not budge, and eyeshadows applied with a primer do not remove easily either. Now foundation? Sure it removes it, but I have to question how deep they cleanse if they don’t do a good job removing eye makeup.
Luckily, I received no skin or eye irritation.
Garnier Clean Refreshing Cleansing Towelettes retail for $5.99. Pick these up at most drugstores, grocery stores, and mass merchant retail locations.
