Many Americans tend to confuse the holidays of Memorial Day (the last Monday in May) and Veterans Day (November 11). While Veterans’ Day is to honor all US military veterans, Memorial Day is a day to remember all American service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. For many Americans, this reality is faced every time a family member leaves for duty, especially in a war zone.
Today’s manicure is Rescue Beauty Lounge The Mosses Mar ($20), a dusty, mossy green crème. I was over the moon when I found out Ji was bringing back more of her signature crème polishes for Winter 2014’s A Poem Collection. While RBL has a high price point, her crème polishes are the best out there: the application is buttery smooth and opaque in two coats or less. The Winter 2014 crème polishes are even better than the original due to their glossy finish.
While you are remembering our fallen soldiers, please also remember the veterans who have been injured (physically and mentally) from their service.

Home For Our Troops’s vision is “to ensure all of our severely injured Post 9-11 Veterans live in specially adapted homes to afford them the opportunity to rebuild their lives”.
War Dogs “helps veterans better manage the invisible and lifelong challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and brain injury (PTSD/TBI) by pairing them with dogs they help rescue and train to be their service dogs”.
