I don’t know if I’ve said this enough, but I’m very lucky to have my husband. I’ve had many a coworker complain to me about how their spouses complain or get upset when dinner isn’t ready when they want it. Fortunately for me, my husband will either order a pizza, warm up a frozen meal in the microwave, or pour himself a bowl of cereal.
I’ve never cared much for cereal, even as a kid. The ones I liked, such as Trix or Cookie Crisp, were typically eaten as a snack, because I also never cared for milk.
Pretty sure most of us wanted this to happen. It was long coming.
I always scour grocery ads for my husband’s main two vices: Dr. Pepper and cereal. If I can get a good deal on either, I’ll stock up. I probably would buy twice in a week if a particularly good deal came up but my kitchen’s small size prevents this.
If I could, I totally would.
My sister may be the only person who would rival my husband’s cereal addiction. She has admitted on many an occasion she has eaten solely Kix cereal. That’s right, people: two days of nothing but Kix and milk.
Try taking that box away from her. I dare you to.
Despite my aversion to regular cereal meals, I have tried the Special K challenge a couple times in the past. While I still couldn’t get used to eating bowls of cereal, I did take a liking to their protein meal replacement bars, which is now in rotation with Luna and Atkins bars in my breakfast repertoire. Their strawberry yogurt and double chocolate bars are pretty fantastic!
Special K and Nicole by OPI have teamed up for an awesome promotion…with three purchase codes, you can get a free bottle of Challenge Red-at and one bottle each of Live In The Momentum and My Sol Shines Brighter with five purchase codes. Hey, if you were going to buy cereal…might as well get some free polish!
Challenge Red-y (2 coats) is a candy apple red jelly. The application and formula are outstanding. I know I need another red jelly like I need a hole in my head, but WOW.
Hi, do you want to come home and love with me forever and ever?
Live In The Momentum (2 coats) is a standard blue creme. If you don’t have a staple blue, this one is for you: it has a great, opaque, well-applying formula.
My Sol Shines Brighter (2 coats) is a coral creme. Its formula is similar to Live In The Momentum. It’s not quite as bright as shown in my pictures.
When I initially received this package, I noted its large size…all I could think was, “oh my gosh, what’s in this?!” After opening it, I found the three colors and not much else…until I lifted the bubble wrap and found this box!
Freeze fried fruit = amazing snack.
I’ll probably give this a try…and maybe sneak some in my husband’s Apple Jacks. Hey, I might need another bottle of Challenge Red-y!
