Hey guys! Here’s a friendly reminder that there is always room for a good skincare regimen. I know we made more than a few resolutions to lose weight, stop smoking and improve our health, so why not strive for better skin as well?
Sam’s Club and Olay have partnered to help you establish a personalized skincare routine – with just one selfie and four easy steps:
Snap your selfie
Build your profile
Analyze your report
Get your regimen
Begin by visiting the Olay Skin Advisor website and snap your selfie. Your webcam should be adequate to complete the process, but this also works with your mobile phone.
Next, Olay will analyze your 5 skin aging zones – cheeks, mouth, forehead, undereye, and crow’s feet.
Now the Skin Advisor will ask what concerns you most about your skin. You can choose from wrinkles and fine lines, sagging skin, uneven skin tone, dullness, visible pores, acne, crow’s feet, dark circles and puffy eyes. You can choose as many options as you wish. For this portion, I picked acne, dullness and visible pores.
You will see those problem areas you picked again because Skin Advisor will ask you to pick your top concern. I picked acne because the acne in my temple area is annoying!!
The next screen will reveal an evaluation of your face. My forehead is my best zone, and it looks like I need to focus on my mouth area! My skin advisor recommended Olay Total Effects Moisturizer because the skin in my mouth area appears to be aged. The skin advisor also recommended Olay Ultimate Eye Cream just to keep my eye area youthful.
You have the option to purchase these items straight from the app or visit your local Sam’s Club to pick up your recommended products, for a customized skin routine.
I found the app to be very straightforward and simple to use. In fact, it was almost a little too easy! I really wish the Skin Advisor would address and recommend products by skin type as well. I have to note that it did not address my primary issue, which was acne, but I was grateful to receive a recommendation for a moisturizer because you can’t have too many.
