The new Fall 2014 Wet n Wild Coloricon palettes are out and about at Walgreens. I stopped by one location and High Waisted Jeans was the only palette they had left in stock, so I picked it up. Luckily, I found the other two I wanted in another Walgreens location, Melrose At Night and Smoke And Melrose, which I am going to review right now.
Smoke And Melrose is a combination of rose toned neutrals to create a smoky, romantic look.
The base shade is a dusty rose toned light pink with a semi-matte finish. There was a good bit of fallout when picking this shade up with a brush.
The browbone shade is a mauve toned taupe with a matte finish.
The definer shade is a mauve color with a shimmery finish.
The base shade is dusty rose toned taupe with a semi-matte finish
The crease shade is a rose gold with a shimmery finish.
I am totally in love with this palette. I have no rose toned eyeshadows anywhere in my stash, so this is perfect. Every shade in the palette is well pigmented and the colors last all day. I am slowly learning with the 5 pan Wet n Wild palettes that if you want to fully love them to their fullest potential, you cant follow the guide.
I found that the definer shade worked better as a crease shade, and the base shade worked better as a browbone shade and the crease shade worked better as a liner.
Wet n Wild Smoke And Melrose retails for $3.99. FIND THIS AT WALGREENS, CVS, AND RITE AID. ADDITIONAL PALETTES FROM THIS COLLECTION INCLUDE ANGELS IN AUBERGINE, MELROSE AT NIGHT AND High Waisted Jeans.
