Zoya Enchanted Holiday

It’s that time of year…time for HOLIDAY COLLECTIONS!  I feel like mainstream nail polish brands save the best for the last collection of the year.  Zoya completely knocked me off my feet with their fall collection, so my expectations are rather high.

There are two types of polishes in this collection:  shimmer polishes with duochromatic shift and Zoya’s PixieDust matte glitter polishes.

Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 - Olivera

Olivera (two coats):  “spellbinding color-flip metallic with an indigo base and a green and purple shift”

Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 - Saint

Saint (two coats):  “whimsical color-flip metallic with a periwinkle base and magenta shift”

Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 - Alice

Olivera is VERY pigmented…with care, it could probably be a one-coater.  Also, you’ll probably want to break out a protective base coat to prevent “smurf nails”.  Saint is more delicate and could possibly need one more coat for the best coverage.

Alice (two coats):  “captivating periwinkle with magenta and blue sparkles”

Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 - Elphie

Elphie (two coats):  “bewitching emerald green with a sugary green sparkle”

Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 - Lorna

Lorna (two coats):  “luscious berry with a sugary sparkle”

Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 - Waverly

Waverly (two coats):  “brilliantly deep sapphire blue with blue sparkles”

Wow.  If you’re a glitter fan, you’re in for a treat.  Elphie, Lorna and Waverly are all colored glitter in a similarly colored jelly base.  Definitely be sure to shake carefully before application, or your first coat will be mostly base instead of glitter.  Alice is the most unique of the bunch, with its crushed glass-fleck finish,  If you take care to make sure that the glitter is dispersed well beforehand, these should all be 2-coaters.

I’m not quite as exuberant as I was with the Urban Grunge collection, but I really like Enchanted.  It’s got a nice mix of colors and finishes.  But like the Urban Grunge collection, I think these are all a must-have.  My overall favorite is Alice, due to the crushed glass-flecks…I would like Zoya to continue making other colors with this finish.

We’ll be back with more holiday collections, so stay tuned!
