Zoya Magical PixieDust Swatches And Review

zoya magical pixie dust swatches

I’m awful when it comes to accessorizing myself.  I’ve never been a big fan of jewelry, real or costume…I have a bad habit of losing things or getting caught on things (I had a fairly bad accident with a belly piercing in college.  OUCH!).  This is a good thing for my husband (and his wallet).  Wearing anything aside from a hair tie is out of the question, thanks to a particularly round head and slick hair that isn’t fond of keeping anything in place.

With that said, my main accessory is nail polish.  It stays in place, I can’t lose it and it won’t get caught on a metal display while trying to hang up tanning lotion samples.  This spring’s Zoya Magical PixieDust collection features three holographic textured glitter polishes, which I consider the perfect jewelry for your nails.

Cosmo (two coats) is a heavy silver holographic glitter bomb.  While there are many silver holographic glitter polishes out there, this one has the most sparkle.  I could see this standing out with a little black dress.

Lux (two coats) makes me think of OPI Teenage Dream with more coverage and glitter.  If you love Teenage Dream, (lookin’ at you, Fairy Glammother!) you NEED Lux in your life.  It’ll also help you conserve that special bottle

Vega (three coats) is an icy blue holographic glitter.  While I’ve seen some gorgeous light blue textured glitters recently, this is my favorite

Word of warning:  while these are gorgeous, they are a bit of a pain to apply.  It’s thicker than the previous PixieDust polishes and Vega is sheerer.  The final effect is totally worth the effort.

Zoya polishes can be found at Zoya.com or Ulta.

Is accessorizing your thing?  Or are you just as hapless as me?  I think I’ll just stick to pretty nail jewelry for now.
