When we tie the knot with the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with; we want to do it in our own style. This is going to be a super important day as well as the best day of our lives, so we’re going to want things to go exactly as we pictured. Not much can really go wrong – you are getting married, after all, but it’s only natural that you want to make it flawless.

Since the first day that you contemplated how your wedding day would go, you’ve probably been adding lots of different accessories and changing some things around so that you can have your own original service and party. You want something that shows off your personalities as well as something that people will remember forever. Sure, you could follow the status quo and stick to the stuff that everyone does identically, but where’s the fun in that?

If you’ve obsessed over the big day for a while, you probably need zero help in this. If you’re not quite confident on how to approach the upcoming nuptials with a little extra color, then let’s talk about things you can do to personalize your wedding.

Invitations

In terms of getting the guests to come and enjoy your big day, the best way to do it is with an invitation that really speaks to its recipient. You can find a bunch of services online that specialize in different types of cards, so you could pick something that suits you and get working. Something that would tug at the heart-strings would be to personally make them yourselves – perhaps writing them out by hand with specific references for different guests. Putting in that effort to create something like this to give to people would mean a lot. It would make them feel like they’re genuinely wanted.

The Dress

This is going to be the outfit that represents you on the biggest day of your life. Why not differentiate from the norm and have something made specifically for you? You’ve always pictured yourself in a wedding dress walking down the aisle, so do what you want to do. The plan is to look beautiful for your groom-to-be, the guests and the photographers, so own it!

The Tux

The same goes for the groom (although not quite as much, right ladies!?) You’re most likely going to your tuxedo or suit tailored to perfection, but if you want to add a little more to it, then you’re free to do so. Obviously, it’s YOUR wedding so you can do whatever you wish (within reason). You may even decide to do something sentimental and use your father’s wedding tux – that’s been done in the past and it adds a real, loving, personal family touch to it.

Rings

You’re going to be wearing these bad boys for the rest of your lives. You might want to make them something that’s close to you and based around your experiences. If you see something and completely fall head-over-heels in love with it, then you’ve not much to worry about. But if you want something extra, you can get carefully handcrafted engagement rings that can be customized from a whole host of places both online and off. If there’s a special word or phrase, or a specific style, there’s always an option to something written, molded or shaped.

Ceremony

The main service. The whole point of it all. Making sure you have a fantastic wedding ceremony will be at the forefront of your mind. You’ll probably want to include songs that you sum you two up as well as the traditional numbers. Like we mentioned before, it’s YOUR day so you can do the ceremony as weird and as wonderful as you like!

Reception

The pressure is off – kind of. You’re married, and now it’s time for the fun stuff! You’ll have the hilarious and emotional speeches, the fantastic food and the excellent catering service. What else are you going to have to keep the party alive? As well as the music, people like to have little games that get people laughing – the Mr and Mrs game tends to go down super well.

Thank You Cards

Finally, we’ll mention the thank you cards that you’ll send to all of those who made an effort. Similarly to the invitations, it would be neat to make them with that added personal feel. It would show genuine gratitude if done with such care.
