One brush to rule them all?
All I need is one brush?
One is the loneliest number?
Yeah I can come up with tons of snazzy music and movie references to explain how I feel about Becca The One Perfecting Brush. The intention is to use this brush for all your facial beauty needs. Applying foundation, powder, highlighting and contouring? Can one brush really do all that? Keep reader for my thoughts and photos of the brush.
The One is a very large brush in terms of size. Because of the way the handle is designed, it makes handling and holding the brush fairly easy to hold and use. Paired with the fact that this brush is very lightweight, application should be no problem.
The brush bristles are made of goat fibers packed in a 3.5 inch horizontal design. The edges of the brush are flat and the corners are rounded for flawless contouring, and precise application.
My only complaint is this is not an easy brush to store. I am an avid user of cups to store my brushes, and she does not fit. So I keep her in my drawer with my foundation.
To apply foundation
Becca suggests that you use the broad side of the brush. I do agree. I found it easier to apply powder foundation than liquids, but it is doable.
Becca suggests you use the narrow surface to sweep illuminator on the cheek bones and the bridge of the nose. Using the narrow surface picks up product very lightly, and applies perfectly for a very natural illuminated look.
How can I use this brush for all those products at one time?
I actually use my Bare Minerals Quick Change brush cleaner and my Make Up Matte. I spray my Make Up Matte, sweep the brush around where I sprayed and my brush is good as new. No cross contamination, no mess, no problem. It beats the hell out of having to lay out 4 different brushes.
I wash with Johnson’s Baby Shampoo, and tap to remove excess water and allow it to fully air dry. I’ve used this brush on and off for a month and I wash it once a week. I lost a few bristles my first wash, but none since.
