Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Hella Holo Customs and February releases

Disclosure: Contains press samples

Today I have the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Hella Holo Customs exclusive polishes.  Hella Holo Customs is a Facebook group that features nail polish brands with special-edition holographic polishes.  However, in order to purchase any HHC polishes, you must be a member of the Facebook group.  You can message Aubrey Lacaillade , Dawn Borden  or email with the email address tied to your Facebook account.  Yes, this does require jumping quite a few hoops, but the polishes are totally worth it.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Hella Holo Customs - Atalanta flash

Atalanta (two coats):  periwinkle leaning purple linear holo packed with gold to green to blue shifting glass flecks

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Hella Holo Customs - Holo-melon flash

Holo-melon (two coats):  watermelon coral linear holo with pink to purple to blue shifting glass flecks

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Hella Holo Customs - Mermaid Tails & Drunken Sails flash

Mermaid Tails & Drunken Sails (two coats):  medium green linear holo with lime to gold to green shifting iridescent glitters and red to gold shifting sparks

All of the polishes were opaque in two coats.  I am beyond crazy for Atalanta.  The gold to green shifting glass flecks gives the purple polish a fairy-like aura.  As for Holo-melon and Mermaid Tails & Drunken Sails, the first thing I thought was they were the perfect watermelon polish pair.  Due to this, I was inspired to do a bit of nail art.

The Pretty Serious Absence “seeds” were dabbed on using a dotting tool.

I also have two monthly polishes from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer, one from the Destination Polish Duo and another from the Siren limited edition series.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Destination Duo - Blue-Blood Brownstone flash

Blue-Blood Brownstone (two coats):  brick red linear holo with purple shimmers and a strong purple flash

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Siren - Siren's Lament

Siren’s Lament (two coats):  deep teal with pink to indigo to gold shifting glass flecks

Blue-Blood Brownstone was opaque in one coat and applied like butter.  Apparently there was a problem with early bottles of Siren’s Lament being too thick, but I didn’t have a problem applying it myself.

Atalanta and Holo-melon are $13.50 while Mermaid Tails & Drunken Sails is $13.  The HHC polishes are currently sold as a pre-order from 2/14 to 2/29.  Siren’s Lament was released on 2/25 and is $12.  The Destination Duo is $25 and will be released from 2/25-2/29.
