Carmex’s New Lip Conditioner Promises To Get In Touch With Your Lighter Side

Carmex has introduced a new product to it’s family- Carmex Lip Conditioner.  If you like your lip balm on the lighter side, without all the heaviness, greasiness, and tackiness that other lip balms sometimes offer, give Carmex a try! At $1.99, can you go wrong?

Carmex’s lip conditioner contains Lanolin, (which I’m actually all too familiar with because I used to use it after I breastfed and let me say it did wonders for my skin, you know… that skin) which replicates the way the skin is supposed to retain moisture. It also contains dimethicone, which protects the skin and aids in moisturizing the lips. Last but not least it contains allantoin, which heals cracked and damaged lips. There’s also coconut oil, vitamin E, beeswax, cocoa butter, artificial flavoring, and saccharin to make it all sweet.  I actually like the bright orange sherbet scent.  It has no taste at all believe it or not.

For the price and availability, I like this lip balm. It stings a little bit when you put it on, because it does contain menthol.  Carmex is absolutely correct when they say that it is a lighter lip balm.  It is not heavy, or greasy feeling. It does not give my lips that ‘she just ate a humongous fried pork chop’ greasy look. Just a light and natural sheen.

If you are not here for products that contain lanolin (cruelty free readers), or dimethicone (I know some readers hate silicones) then this may be a product that you want to pass by. But fear not, I have many lip balms that I have reviewed, and will review in the future. While this one may not be for you, I will review one or two that are. Click here for more lip balm reviews.
