Milani Cosmetics Constellation Gel Eye Liner Swatches And Review

Milani Cosmetics Constellation Eye Liner

Disclosure: I received press samples

Milani Cosmetics played with everyone’s emotions when they posted a preview of these liners on Instagram. Lucky for us all, the wait was not long at all, and they have been released! And I swatched them for you!

Milani Constellation Gel Eyeliners are part of the Bedazzled Collection, which is a breath of fresh air because if there’s one thing about fall that most beauty companies do not embrace, it’s the jewel toned trend. It’s timeless, it’s effortless, and it can carry the average beauty lover right into Winter. The Bedazzled Collection is composed of jewel toned gel liners, lipsticks, and nail lacquers.

Milani Constellation Gel liners are huge, at 0.14 oz (MAC Fluidlines weight in at 0.1 oz). At first sight you would think these are eyeshadows, but no, they are really creamy liners. Constellation Gel liners are packaged in a screw top pot, it’s going to be interesting to see how long these last that way.

Enchanted Black Opal

Enchanted Opal in the pot appears to be black with shimmer, but once you swatch it, it’s a charcoal gray with silver, burgundy, gold and teal sparkle.

Enchanted Emerald

Enchanted Emerald swatches deep blue green with gold, teal and green sparkle.

Enchanted Lapis

Enchanted Lapis is a medium toned navy blue with blue and purple sparkle.

Interesting findings about these liners. One, they never really dry, but they don’t budge unless you make them budge. They can be applied as a liner, or you can apply them as a liner and smudge them out, but they still never really dry.

All that shimmer you see on top is nothing more than an overspray, but there’s more than enough glitter throughout the liner formula, so no worries about not being able to achieve that level of shimmer once you pass the top layer.

They work well as eyeshadow or liner. You will fare better using it as a shimmery lid wash. I ran into a little (ok A LOT) trouble blending with a powder eyeshadow, it started to crease. Do use a primer if you decided to wear it as a shadow, creasing on it’s own started after about 4 hours. As a liner, it stayed for 9 hours.

Each gel liner comes with it’s own brush, and it applies the liner well, so no worries about the brush.

Overall, you need these. They are big, bold, shimmery, and affordable.

Milani Constellation Gel Eye Liners retail for $6.99. Hurry up and go get these from CVS or Walgreens, they are limited edition.
