Sally’s exclusive brand, FingerPaints has a new limited edition textured glitter collection named Shredded Chromes. Yes, I know what you’re thinking: ANOTHER textured glitter?! Simmer down, these are different…and pretty flippin’ fantastic to boot.
Instead of the typical glitter suspended in a colored base, the Shredded Chrome is heavier with traditional glitter and metallic particles. All of these polishes took exactly 2 coats for opacity, which is always a big plus for on-the-go manicures. With the exception of Gilded Chrome, the heavy formula is a bit arduous for application but is definitely worth the effort.
Crystalline Crush is a combination of rose gold, gold and silver glitter. I love the harmonious effect and neutral color from the three different colors. Unfortunately, I think my bottle may have had some evaporation and had to be thinned out with Seche Restore.
Gilded Chrome is an elegant silver-heavy mix with a touch of gold glitter. This one was the best applying and thinnest formula of the collection.
Metallic Moondust has green, gold and silver glitter. This polish screams St. Patrick’s Day, complete with green beer, soda bread and corned beef.
Stardust Blush is like Metallic Moondust but with dark pink glitter.
Stargazing Lilac is also like Metallic Moondust and Stardust Blush but with light purple glitter. I bet a layering combination of this and Metallic Moondust would bring to mind a glittery King Cake.
Never had one of these? You’re missing out…it’s similar to a cinnamon roll but may have various fillings such as fruit, nuts or cream cheese.
I’m very impressed by this collection…Finger Paints usually brings out a lot of winners with their limited edition sets. I’m a huge fan of their past holiday collections, so it’s awesome to see they’ve still got their magic touch.
Will you be adorning yourself with Shredded Chromes or would you rather have a king cake? I’ll be the one eating king cake with a shredded chrome manicure.
