I tend to buy a lot of holiday-themed and limited edition polishes, including Halloween. Today I have a random mix of some Halloween pretties.
China Glaze Fortune Teller
Back in the day (okay, 2009) China Glaze came out with some amazing Halloween polishes. Fortune Teller is one of my most memorable Halloween polishes ever. It’s a mix of hexagonal and small orange glitter in a black base.
OPI Zom-Body To Love
I’m not gonna lie, every time I see this polish name I bust out with some Justin Bieber. I CAN NOT HELP IT.
Zom-Body To Love is from OPI’s 2011 Pair ‘Em Scare ‘Em set with Black Shatter. I found that OPI’s glow-in-the-darks have a lot more incandescence than China Glaze’s perennial Ghoulish Glow.
If you want black glitter but more of a subtle hint of glitter, Orly Goth is for you. It has two sizes of small silver glitter and reminds me of black granite.
Cover Girl Crackle Ghost over MAC Baby Goth Girl
I know that crackle polish has come and gone, but it’s a great finish for Halloween manis. If I remember correctly, Cover Girl originally released crackle in the mid-to-late 90s and had a revival with OPI’s Katy Perry collection. I prefer the “crocodile”-style due to the pattern versus the newer “stripe-y” cracks.
Pretty Serious Yummy Mummy over OPI Who the Shrek Are You?
Yummy Mummy is a nude duochrome glass-flecked polish that can be worn either alone or over other polishes for some serious sparkle. I picked the chartreuse Who The Shrek Are You to complement the green/blue iridescence of the glass flecks.
I haven’t fully decided whether I will be dressing up for Halloween yet…I do have a makeshift Lumpy Space Princess ensemble on hand, though. Will you (or your nails) be dressed for the occasion this year?
