Happy Bubble Bath Day!

Bathroom interior with bubble bath.

Today is January 8, so not only is it Thursday but it’s National Bubble Bath Day!

While taking a hot bubble bath is nothing new, this day was set in place to help you create an appreciation for a hot, soapy bubble bath equipped with candles, music, and whatever else comes to mind. So sit back, relax, and check out my bubble bath must haves!

Bubble Bath Essentials

Bubble Bath

What’s a bubble bath without bubbles right? You want a product that creates lush, long lasting bubbles, smells great, and will put you in a state of relaxation and bliss. I have only three favorites: Lush Bubble Bars are wonderful as an overall product, but I am in love with Lush Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds. It’s a really brightly colored bubble bar with deep, soulful notes of frankincense oil and patchouli to put your body in a trance. You can use a whole bubble bar for the biggest bubble bath of your life, or you can use it in halves or fourths depending on the size of your tub. Did I mention your bath water will turn a beautiful shade of blue?

For those days that I am looking for something a tad brighter in scent, I reach for Philosophy Live Joyously 3 in 1 and use it as a bubble bath. Pour roughly two tablespoons into a running bath to create bubbles with notes of tangerine and pink peony for a vibrant burst of freshness.

Neutrogena Rainbath shower Gel

Can’t make a trip to Lush or Sephora but you want the ultimate bubble bath? Hopefully there’s a drugstore on your way home so you can grab a bottle of Neutrogena Rainbath. Add this to your running water and take in the unique blend of spices, herbs and fruits. I go through roughly 9 bottles of Rainbath a year! One day I’ll stop playing and grab the 32oz bottle.

I have expensive candles that I refuse to burn, and I consider anything over $10 expensive. With that being said, I was on the hunt for a candle that was affordable, smelled great, and burned for a long time. I found that candle in Walmart, created by Better Homes And Gardens. They are 18 ounces, packaged in glass jars that burn perfectly and smell fantastic! You will not find a better candle than Soft Cashmere Amber for a truly relaxing bath.

Music? I might have you! I can tell you what kind of music I like to listen to in the tub, but you may be privy to something like rap, or rock, or maybe soul music. I’m a big fan of sounds of nature. Crashing waves, raindrops, flowing rivers and all that jazz. I normally boot up my tablet, get Spotify started, connect my tablet to my bluetooth tower, press play and relax! If you are interested in this playlist, I embedded it right here!

Hopefully if you are reading this, you are at work right now and creating a quick list of goodies to pick up this evening and very excited to head home and take the ultimate bubble bath!
