You know the drill with me. I’m a mother, I’m always on the go. Whether I’m barreling down the aisles of a drugstore looking for a new beauty product or I’m handling my mom duties- football practice, choir practice, PTA meetings and conferences, my shoes have to be perfect.
What is the perfect shoe for me? It must be comfortable and be able to mesh well with my current wardrobe, which is full of jeans, t-shirts, casual pants, dresses, and killer accessories. I really enjoy pairing simple pieces with nice handbags, shoes and jewelry. Most importantly, the shoe has to be comfortable. Yes I said that twice, it’s very important. I’m plus sized, and I have Plantar fasciitis, which ironically got worse when I started exercising.
I browsed the Payless ShoeSource website looking for a comfortable pair of shows, and there are two brands (known as The Comfort Line) they carry that I read offers not only the most comfortable shoes, but affordable- Dexflex Comfort and Comfort Plus By Predictions I was game. Here are a few pair of shoes I considered purchasing:
I really wanted the Dexflex Reina Riding Boot ($74.99), but I knew I didn’t have enough time to get it here if I ordered online. It features a side zipper so you can easily put this boots on and take them off, 1″ heel, soft material for easy stretching around the calf (plus they offer this boot in wide calf sizes), and memory foam that absorbs shock, shapes and holds perfectly to cradle the foot for lasting comfort.
Since I couldn’t get the Riding Boot, I also had an eye on the Dexflex Women’s Faux Suede Moccasin ($34.99). This shoe is perfect for jeans, casual pants and dressy shirts. It also features the memory foam. Sadly, this one was not in the store and my size was sold out online.
I ended my hunt on these cuties, the Dexflex Claire Scrunch Flat ($26.99). This flat works for me because it is comfortable, it’s flat, it features the memory foam with a two layer insole. These shoes also scrunch, so they are easy to carry in your handbag or backpack for a quick shoe change if you are wearing heels and your feet are tired.
I also did what I do best, pick some simple pieces, jeans and a t-shirt, killer accessories and these cute flats. I created a Pinterest board that you can follow and re-pin here! Style definitely meets comfort! You have to thank Payless for such a great selection of comfortable, affordable shoes!
