Killer Actions To Boost Your Self-Confidence

There is an amazing quote by E.E. Cummings that says “Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit”. What could be better, right? It can be so true, and unfortunately so sad that we miss many opportunities in life because of a lack of self-confidence. It is something that we can all face to varying degrees. But how can face it and deal with it so that we can better face life and achieve our dreams? Here are a few suggestions for you.

Dress Nicely

If you slob around in sweats and a hoodie all day, then is it giving you the motivation to get things done? They are comfy, yes, and they do have a place. But not on a daily basis. They can make you feel worse about yourself if you are overweight, as they are baggy and shapeless. Pick colors that will compliment your skin tone and clothes that make you feel good. It takes the same amount of time to put a pair of jeans on as it does sweats. But which will you feel better about yourself in?

Think Positive

When you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, your whole outlook on life will change. When presented with an opportunity, don’t just look at ways that you might fail at the said task. But look for the things that you can do well and how you’d get it done. You’ll be much braver when you have a positive mindset and eliminate negative thoughts

Make Changes

Sometimes a change can be a great way to reset and start again on something. You can move; you are not a tree! If you physically need to be somewhere else, then go. If you want to change things about yourself physically, then make a start. It can be hard to get the body that you want instantly. But you could get your hair or nails just as you want them quite easily. You could even look at some cosmetic surgery options if you think that could be what is missing to give you a much-needed boost.

Get To Know Yourself

Part of becoming confident in yourself and confident in who you are is getting to know yourself. Then you can identify the triggers that can make you feel down, or equally, the things that help you to feel good about yourself. Then you can avoid certain things if needed, and embrace other things.

Set Small Goals

We can feel bad about ourselves when we don’t think that we are achieving anything. So one of the best ways to overcome that is to set yourself small goals. Quite often our goals can be so far out of reach that we just give up on them. But setting smaller, more achievable goals is an easy way to get to the main end goal. But it will give you that bit confidence boost that you need, along the way!
