Lush Silky Underwear Dusting Powder

Though I love to play in beauty products, I do fish, and I fish in extreme heat.  I am a plus sized gal, so certain places on my body are sweaty, especially my boobs. I was looking around the internet, as we are all guilty of doing, looking for solutions to keep them dry when I am out in this heat, I saw solutions like:

  • Bra- well ok I got one of those on, and a darn good one at that
  • Deodorant- I refuse.
  • Pantyliner under the bra-I refuse.
  • Corn Starch- tried it, and I was left with clumps at the end of the day which I think is just gross.

My husband refreshed my memory about dusting powders, so I looked around for one and saw that Lush had one and immediately purchased it.

First off, I do not like the packaging.  Whether the container is open or closed, powder comes out, which is horrible for me because one drop and you have lost product. I hate losing product like that. If it were me, I would have made that container with a deeper opening with the little holes and a duster. I feel like a piece of chicken shaking flour on myself.

The smell is dreamy.  A seductive mix of jasmine and cocoa butter.  The powder goes on very smooth, easy application.  It seems that the powder almost melts into your skin, moisturizing yet keeps the skin dry, yet is not greasy at all.  Just soft and fragrant.

The powder is long lasting, I dusted it on before I went fishing (which was really a mistake if you know anything about fishing). I was gone for about 6 hours and when I got home, my boobs were dry! YAY! No clumping of powder, still dry and fragrant after standing out in direct heat, NO SHADE for 6 hours. Packaging aside, I am happy.

I love Silky Underwear too and don’t like the packaging either. I wish they would fix the top and make the can slimmer and taller, but I still love it. I buy Silky Underwear and Vanilla all the time.
