MAC Next To Nothing Face Colour is the latest collection from MAC Cosmetics. This is the brand’s answer to tackling the ‘no makeup makeup’ look with ease. Next To Nothing Face Colour features skin nourishing ingredients and light-reflecting opalescent microspheres to give skin a dewy, no makeup, makeup look.
MAC Next To Nothing Face Colour is packaged in a 1.2oz pump bottle. The shade range is not in the familiar NC, NW format, it is labeled as light, fair, deep, medium deep so forth and so on.
The texture of the liquid is like a serum and absorbs quickly into the skin and for roughly a minute, has a very sticky texture. Once the foundation fully dries, it feels like nothing is on the skin. Personally speaking, the coverage was literally next to nothing. It is lighter than the lightest tinted moisturizer or BB cream I’ve ever encountered. The opalescent microspheres are also very subtle, but they caked over my dry skin patches (which also made me realize I had dry patches even though I exfoliate on the regular, I am really offended) which made my skin appear to look like I had shiny fish scales, so while building gave me more color, it also gave me shiny patches.
Between the super sheer coverage, inaccurate shade range, and the lack of buildability- save your money for the next launch.
