Maybelline FIT me! Shine Free Foundation Stick #330 Toffee Caramel Swatches And Review

IMG_2756

Maybelline Fit me! Shine Free Foundation stick combines the power of a gel foundation into a convenient stick.  This stick applied effortless to the skin leaving behind flawless medium coverage and a matte finish.

I really like this foundation. I will admit, this is my first foundation stick ever. By the time I discovered that they existed, Max Factor was phasing out the Pan Stik in the United States, so I never got the chance (though I have heard rave reviews).  Talk about second chances!

Maybelline’s foundation stick is unique because it has an anti-shine core right in the middle to create a matte finish. Coverage is medium-heavy. The stick is very smooth and creamy, and dries to a powdery finish.

Here’s a photo of the foundation swatched and unblended.  This is shade #330 Toffee Caramel. Very pretty shade, pretty good match to my skin.

Here’s a swatch of the foundation blended.

Here’s a photo of my face before. Bumpy, uneven pigmentation.

Here’s a photo after I rubbed the stick all over my face.

And finally, here’s a photo of the foundation blended. It evened out my skintone so that’s a win for me!

This is going to be my go to foundation in the winter time, because that’s when I love a good foundation with a matte finish. I don’t know how long this lasts, I’ve only had it on for about 7 hours now.  I will update, but I’m still covered.

Now allow  me to ramble for a little bit, cause the journey to finding this was not an easy one. Now guys, I’m a consumer just like you. I don’t have droves of samples being sent to me, I go to the store just like you. I went to Walmart first, and there was literally two tubes left and guess what? They were opened and tested.  Because I had other errands to run, I ended up at a Walgreens that I knew was high volume. There were lots of tubes in stock, but the medium toned gals opened almost every tube and tested them. It’s very disappointing to walk into a store and have to contemplate purchasing a product that’s been opened/used.  Let’s do better guys and stop opening products up in the store.  Find one you think is close to your shade, buy it, go home and test it, and then return it if it does not work for you. That way the store can damage out the item and not put it back on the shelf (because it is not sanitary).

Maybelline FIT me! Shine Free Foundation Stick retails for $8.99 (Walgreens is BOGO 50% right now). I’m sure they are in Walmart on the regular shelf, and in Walgreens on an endcap. What endcap, I do not know.  (depends on individual planograms)

That’s absolutely disgusting that people had tried them. I know it happens but really people?!

I LOVE Black Opal Foundation Sticks. I use them everyday. The two downsides to them are #1 SPF is only 8 & they don’t help to control oil. So happy to see that these Maybelline sticks have a matte finish. Thanks for reviewing it. You’re the 1st person I’ve heard mention it. Now I have to cross my fingers that I can find a new one in my shade that hasn’t been tampered with. ;-p
