Mehron Cheek Cream/Powder Palette Swatches And Review

Two of the most innovative names in the beauty industry, Mehron and The Make Up Show teamed up to celebrate TMS’s 10 year anniversary this spring. To commemorate the show’s decade-long commitment to Pro artistry, education, and community, Mehron launched a limited edition cheek cream/powder palette. The palette is a combination of color picks from The Makeup Show’s Director of Artistry, James Vincent and Mehron’s Marketing Director, Stephanie Koutikas.

Mehron’s Cheek Cream/Powder packaging is housed in a black, cardboard 8 pan palette. It’s not the most sturdy of palettes, but it can fit into any kit or stash comfortably. I’d be careful since the clear section is nothing but a thin sheet of plastic. BUT that thin sheet of plastic will protect your palette from dust and dirt.

The top row is composed of powder textured shades. The powder blushes are very powdery and very dry to the touch as far as texture goes. The colors pick up well and have excellent pigmentation. All the shades blend very well with no fallout on the face with a matte finish. There was a small amount of fallout in the packaging itself, but it was very easy to just blow it away. The shades from left to right are:

  • Rosewood
  • Wineberry
  • Just Peachy
  • Bold Red

The bottom row is composed of cream textured shades. The cream blushes are very rich and creamy with excellent pigmentation. Not only does it apply well, they blend perfectly for a flawless, satin finish. I’m sure I will reach for the cream shades more than the powders. The shades from left to right are

  • Tawny Pink
  • Bronze
  • Pink Coral
  • Red Rose

Combined with a primer, the shades last about 10-12 hours on the skin.

Overall, if you are a hoarder of beauty products, a makeup artist pro, or you want to start your blush collection off with a bang, you need this palette. Every single shade in the palette works well on darker skin tones (that means it’s black girl friendly).

Mehron limited edition cheek cream/powder palette retails for $40. It’s available at while supplies last.
