Milani Bella Rosa Powder Blush Swatches and Review

Milani Bella Rosa Powder blush is from Milani’s Fall 2013 Coming Up Roses collection.  The Coming Up Roses collection features four matte powder blush shades with a 3D Rose design.  The color selection and shades are stunning, and I have one to show you today

Bella Rosa is a cool toned matte pink blush.  The texture of the powder is silky, dry, and powdery. The finish of the powder is completely matte. No shimmer, no sparkle.

Application is a pain, I tried to apply this blush with more than one kind of brush and it was nearly impossible. A standard blush brush picks up nothing, as well as an angled blush brush and a bronzing brush. But the stippling brush did the best. It was the only one that allowed me to pick up enough product to swatch on my hand, so I photographed it so you could see for yourself.

I also applied with my finger, which gives you the most pigmentation but  really applying blush with your fingers… how old are we?

Bella Rosa is also the most unfriendly shade for black girls, so that’s a factor as well. Normally, I wouldn’t pick up a shade like this.

Milani Bella Rosa retails for $6.49. Like I said above, there are four shades in total available, and they will be in select CVS, Walgreens, Meijer and Fred Meyer stores starting August 1. Be advised they are in some stores now. It will also be on Milani’s website August 1.

It’s so pretty but I don’t want to apply it with my fingers! I think I’ll pass. :/

I’ve been disappointed with Milani products. They tend to be too “light” chalky. Especially the eye shadows. Thanks for the review.
