How many times have you looked at your face and hated it? While I’m a big advocate of loving yourself unconditionally, there’s nothing wrong with taking inventory of yourself and making improvements. Murad recently made an improvement to an old product, so hopefully you can make an improvement to your skin!

If you read my Five Products That Every Skin Care Stash Needs guide then you know that exfoliation is very important. Exfoliation removes dead, dry skin, improves texture and brightens the skin. When you use the right exfoliant, you will get instant gratification and better skin.

There are two types of exfoliants, mechanical and chemical. Mechanical exfoliants use a rough substance, such as sugar or oats or jojoba beads, to manually exfoliate the skin. Chemical exfoliants use chemicals, like AHA, BHA and Vitamin C to melt dead skin away. I’m older, lazier, and busy, so my exfoliant of choice is chemical. I can literally swipe and walk away. That’s magical.

Murad Rapid Resurfacing Peel ($44.00) contains 10% glycolic acid with vitamin C to provide smoother and refreshed skin overnight, and brighter skin after 1 week. You probably don’t remember the original formula, but I do. It was between 3% and 5% glycolic acid, which really didn’t do anything but give the skin a tiny sting. It was heaven sent to skin care newbies, but a nightmare for skin care vets. It was weak enough to apply daily with no repercussion.  There was always a need for something closer to an in office peel (20% or more).  I’m really glad Murad decided to quietly reformulate the resurfacing peel.

Murad Rapid Resurfacing Peel is packaged in a box that contains 16, 5”x4”, single use wipes.

To use, open one wipe and sweep over the face, neck and chest. Allow 3 full minutes to fully absorb, then follow up with your essence, serum, or moisturizer. You can do this 2 to 3 times a week. If you are applying during the day, cover the treated area with sunscreen (SPF 35 or more please).

According to clinical studies, 87% of users saw smoother and refreshed skin overnight. 86% noticed brighter skin after 1 week.

Murad Rapid Resurfacing Peel retails $44.00 for a box of 16 towelettes. Purchase from Ulta or  Murad.
