Muslin Cloth: The Peanut Butter To Your Cleansing Balm’s Jelly

If you read my Colleen Rothschild Beauty Discovery Collection post, you know I talked about the brand’s Muslin cloths, and how they became one of my favorites from the collection. Now, I want to introduce you to Muslin cloths, and how they can fit into your skincare routine.

What is a Muslin Cloth?

Muslin cloths are soft pieces of cotton fabric (typically unbleached cotton) that are best used with cleansing balms. Unlike brushes, muslin cloths are gentle and exfoliate better than cleansing brushes. The open weave design allows them to dry quickly and prevent bacteria growth.

How to use a Muslin cloth

It’s almost time for bed, but first #skincare! Tonight, I’ll introduce you to the muslin cloth- a soft piece of cotton fabric that gets along impressingly well with cleansing balms. ——————– I got the opportunity to try @colleenrothschild’s Radiant Cleansing Balm and Muslin Cleansing Cloths in the Discovery Collection (the collection also includes an exfoliant, detox mask, face oil, travel bag and skin cream). ——————– Muslin cloths are very simple to use! Just massage the skin with a cleansing balm, wet the muslin cloth with hot water and wring damp, place the hot cloth over your face and allow the steam to melt the balm into your skin. Buff the balm away using the cloth. You’ll be left with clean, supple, gently exfoliated skin. ——————– #ad Pick up the Discovery Collection by clicking the link in my bio.
