New! Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Collection

Moisture Care

How many times have I said this: The air outside during the winter is cold and dry, the air inside is hot and dry. This creates the perfect environment for dry damaged hair, and a flaky, irritated scalp. Well I have good news and bad news. Bad news first ok: we have six more weeks of winter. Good news: Head & Shoulders created a new collection to combat winter dryness.

The new Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Collection is a 4 product line that provides the scalp with moisture to the scalp and hair immediately and over time helping to eliminate dandruff. Products from the line include shampoo, 2-in-1, co-wash and scalp soother. The Moisture Care Collection combines the zinc pyrithione (ZPT) I love with vitamin E rich almond oil, which I love even more. Bonus? The Moisture Care Collection was specifically designed for textured hair. Thank you Head & Shoulders!

I love them so much, I incorporated them into my regular hair care routine.

Even when my hair was relaxed, I was a no poo fanatic. I enjoy co-washing (aka conditioner washing) because I can gently cleanse my hair without stripping the moisture my hair so desperately needs. Head & Shoulders Co-Wash has a nice thick texture like a conditioner, but the gentle cleansing properties of a shampoo with the beautiful essence of coconut oil.

I shampoo roughly three times a month, but when I do, I use Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care with Almond Oil, it gets my hair and scalp ridiculously clean. I love having the moisture care shampoo as well for a change in scenery (and by scenery I mean scent). Activated on contact with water, the formula targets the scalp and penetrates into the surface skin, releasing ZPT into the scalp to work as a barrier against scalp irritants, which can cause dandruff, and help improve natural moisture over time.

Scalp Soother

I loved adding this product to my hair care routine for obvious reasons- my hair is ridiculously thick now, and from time to time I run into an itch that I just can’t scratch. Besides, scratching is bad, and potentially damages the scalp. This scalp soother contains peppermint oil and vitamin e to cool my scalp and restore moisture. I just spray it directly on the affected area, and massage into my scalp using my fingers. Ahhhhh instant relief!

Do you have textured hair? Would you give these products a shot? Let me know!
