Summer is not going anywhere for a very long time if you live in the South. Heat and Humidity go hand and hand, but you don’t have to take the abuse thanks to a new haircare line by Nexxus. Nexxus Frizz Defy is a five product collection that contains everything you need to kick frizz’s butt. Here’s a rundown of the products. A rundown is nothing more than basic information about the product. It’s not a review. I’ve used the products a time or two BUT there’s no way I can attest to any benefits to my hair.
Nexxus Frizz Defy Frizz Protection Shampoo, $9.99
This shampoo contains Moroccan Argan Oil and Coconut extract to gently clean and moisturize the hair. The shampoo definitly has a very nice coconut scent to it. The shampoo did exceptionally well at cleaning my hair, it rinsed clean, but it left my hair tangled.
Nexxus Frizz Defy Frizz Protection Conditioner, $14.99
The conditioner shared the same nice coconut scent. It also was pretty good at conditioning and it relaxed all the tangles in my hair from the shampoo. It rinsed clean and left my hair with a nice slip to it.
Nexxus Frizz Defy Frizz Protection Styling Crème, $11.99
Frizz defy styling crème reminds me of your typical oil moisturizer but lighter. I used this twice- once to wrap my hair, and again to just slick my hair back and let my natural texture be great. Both times my hair combed out easily, it was very moist and soft. It claims to protect against heat, but I didn’t use any heat products when I tried it out.
Nexxus Frizz Defy Frizz Protection Leave-in Oil Shine Treatment, $14.99
Leave in oil shine treatment has a very warm coconut scent. It provides protection from frizz and heat. Nexxus claims that it reduces frizz up to 87% of the day. That’s phenomenal.
Nexxus Frizz Defy Frizz Protection Hair Spray, $11.99
Yes, even the hair spray suspended in alcohol smells like coconut when it dries! This humidity control spray is advertised to keep your hair smooth all day long. I used it once after a roller set, as a matter of fact, I used it Saturday at my son’s first football game. My hair didn’t move or fall and it was 96 degrees and the air was heavily saturated in moisture. So this might be sorta awesome.
