Nordic Collection by OPI Fall 2014 Swatches And Review

OPI Nordic

I can’t believe fall is here already!  My husband and I are currently in the process of buying our first house, so this summer has been flying by since we started the process in July.  Let’s just say the deluge of fall collections is taking me a by surprise!

After swatching this and OPI Mustang, I’ve come to the conclusion that OPI is killing it with crème finishes.  All of the cremes took a maximum of two coats for opacity and apply effortlessly.  If you’re a crème fan, you need these in your life!

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Can't Afjord Not To

Can’t Afjord Not To (two coats) is a coral-leaning orange crème.  For a retro look, wear this with a My Dogsled Is A Hybrid accent nail.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm

Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm (two coats) is a fantastic electric violet crème.  This is a major must-have.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Going My Way or Norway

Going My Way Or Norway (two coats) reminds me of Goetze caramel crème candies.  My husband is obsessed with those candies.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - How Great is Your Dane

How Great Is Your Dane (two coats) is a muted dark chocolate crème.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Ice-bergers & Fries

Ice-Bergers & Fries (two coats) is a terra cotta crème.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - My Dogsled is a Hybrid

My Dogsled Is A Hybrid (two coats) is a mint crème with a touch of blue.  This color leans more green on my golden skintone…it’s also my current pedicure color!

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - OPI With A Nice Finn-ish

OPI With A Nice Finn-ish (two coats) is a coppery gold metallic polish.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Skating On Thin Ice-land

Skating On Thin Ice-Land (two coats) is a black cherry purple crème.  Whenever I eat fresh cherries, this is the color my fingers get stained.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Suzi Has A Swede Tooth

Suzi Has A Swede Tooth (two coats) is your standard pink crème…it seems out of place in this collection.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Thank Glogg it's Friday

Thank Glogg It’s Friday (two coats) is a shimmery wine crème.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - Viking in a Vinter Vonderland

Viking In A Vinter Vonderland (two coats) is a midnight eggplant crème.  This is almost black but has just enough purple.

OPI Nordic Fall 2014 - My Voice is a Little Norse over Viking in a Vinter Vonderland

My Voice Is A Little Norse (one coat over Viking In A Vinter Vonderland) has silver holographic glitter in subtly gray clear base.  The glitter is densely packed but is sparse enough to wear as a glitter topcoat.

You really can’t go wrong with this collection.  I’m personally not a fan of the browns, but they’re definitely appropriate for the season.  My favorites are Do You Have This In Stock-holm and My Dogsled Is A Hybrid…the combination of gorgeous colors and the effortless application are not to be missed.  Will you be picking up any of the Nordic collection polishes?

Nordic Collection by OPI will be available August 6, 2014, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands,, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and for $9.50 ($11.50 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

  2. PolishPanic!

Do You Have This In Stock-holm, Viking In A Vinter Vonderland, and My Voice Is Norse are my must-haves. And you’re right about that pink shade being out of place…

Going My Way Or Norway, Ice-Bergers & Fries, Skating On Thin Ice-Land, and the glitter are my favorites. I think I’d put the glitter on this gray polish I have.
