Every girl needs a wide variety of versatile colors they can use anywhere right? Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has fulfilled our wish with the new Crème Color Concentrates. These promise to be highly pigmented, blendable and buildable. Most importantly, they promise to be versatile you can use them on the lips, cheeks, or eyes. I have six of the hottest shades available, so check the swatches and review!
Pleasure Model is a cool-toned pink with a pearlescent finish. This is a pretty princess shade of pink. The sparkle is intoxicating
Dark Matter is described as a dark green and grey, but I honestly did not catch one hue of green. This reads as more of a dark grey mixed with black.
Mercury is a fine super sparkly silver.
Icarus is a golden mustard yellow
Beholder is a true turquoise. You know how I feel about turquoise right? Exactly.
Newt appears to be a cool toned peach shade in the package, but once you swatch it, one of the chemicals oxidizes and changes into a peachy salmon color. I was really angry and confused because I thought my brush was dirty. It’s a very pretty color that would make for a very Avant Garde lip (on the right skintone). This is going to be my go as a color corrector for concealing.
The texture of all the crème concentrates is very smooth and easy to apply. Pigmentation for all shades is excellent, and you get good pickup no matter what medium you use.
As A Blush
This will be the way I use them most often. Applied as a blush they are smooth, creamy and well pigmented. After using my finishing spray, I got 12 hours of wear.
As An Eyeshadow
I’m not sold on them as eyeshadows. The color applied very streaky and I had a problem building certain colors. To make a bad situation worse, the colors creased in about 20 minutes flat. I tried to set it with a powder, use a primer as a base and had no luck.
As A Lip Color
Same issue as I had with wearing them as an eyeshadow. The color applied very streaky. There was vast improvement when I filled in my lips with a nude lipliner.
