The moment I laid eyes on Philosophy Fresh Cream, I knew I had to have it. My fragrance collection is full of complex fragrances with a wide assortment of notes, and I was dying for something simple. Sure I have plenty of Demeter fragrances, which are very cut and dry when it comes to notes, but I wanted something subtle, especially after my night time bath. It also wouldn’t hurt having a fragrance to layer.

Philosophy Fresh Cream is a sweet and subtle fragrance that leaves the skin with a light, creamy fragrance.

The initial spray is actually very strong of alcohol, which was a tad discouraging, but I’m not a quitter. After the scent of alcohol dried down, there was nothing left but the light scent of cream- sweet, sugary, creamy and milky.

If I had one complaint to give about this fragrance, it would be its staying power. After about 3 hours, I find myself not being able to smell it at all. Simple solution? Just spritz on a little more. It’s one of the reasons I prefer to wear this to bed- there wont be any scent left by morning.

Because this fragrance has such perfect, yet simple notes. I found it imperative that I create a layering guide. This fragrance is perfect for layering with fruity scents to give them a hint of creaminess. Check my handy chart below:

Philosophy Fresh Cream Layering

Philosophy Fresh Cream+ Demeter Pumpkin Pie= Pumpkin pie and ice cream

Philosophy Fresh Cream + Demeter Sweet Orange= Creamsicle (this is gonna be a summer fave)

Philosophy Fresh Cream+ BPAL Josie= Honey and cream

Philosophy Fresh Cream + Demeter Blackberry Pie= Blackberry pie and ice cream

By now you can see where I’m going. I’m on the hunt for a fragrance that has pecan or caramel notes, but the only fragrance I know of is Fresh Tobacco Caramel and it is discontinued. But the layering possibilities are endless.

Philosophy Fresh Cream retails $38  for the 2oz EDP; $20 for the 0.33oz rollerball; $40 for the 4oz EDP (sold out right now)
