This month’s Play! By Sephora beauty subscription box is all about warm weather essentials and sunny standouts. Take on the long days and the hot nights with a selection of products to keep you chic all summer.
Check out what’s in the box:
Nest Fragrances Citrine (1.7 oz./ SRP $68.00) is this month’s perfume pick (my favorite part of the box). I’ve tried a few Nest samples here and there, but never took the leap into purchasing a full sized bottle, but I think I found the one! Nest Citrine features notes of fresh lotus flower, freesia, bright citrus and a base of precious woods. This is the perfect fragrance to wear during the duration of summer. It is light, summery, and not overpowering.
Ouai Wave Spray (5 oz./ SRP $26.00) is described as a weightless, texture mist that gives hair an effortless, undone look while adding volume and shine. I am on the hunt for a volumizing spray. My shrinkage is crazy and now that I have a little length back, I would like to volume. This spray smells really good, and I look forward to trying it.
Beautyblender Blotterazzi (SRP $20.00) is a reusable cushion blotter designed to fit into facial contours to remove shine and absorb oil without disturbing makeup. This looks like the coolest product ever, but I have dry skin. I’ll pass this on to an oily friend!
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser (SRP $20.00) is rich in botanicals and antioxidants with a light, whipped texture that transforms into a lush, creamy lather. I’ll admit I’m not into their products, I have an HG cleanser, but I’m going to try this out and report back to you later!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (SRP $36.00) is the HG of primers. I remember the good ole days when no other primer mattered as much as this one. It’s silky and lightweight in texture and great for normal to dry skin. It creates a clean canvas to help makeup stay in place with a flawless finish.
Benefit Cosmetics Dew The Hoola Soft Matte Liquid Bronzer (SRP $28.00) is a lightweight, shimmer free matte liquid bronzer that creates a warm, radiant look that is sheer and seamless. Naturally, like most Benefit products, this works well on pale skin tones and does nothing for deeper skin. it barely shows up, but I secretly love the soft, matte finish. My God Benefit, why do you refuse to make products for brown girls!?
Smashbox Photo Finish was the first primer I ever purchased. That feels like ages ago.
