Rose fragrances could easily be seen as corny and typical but any fragranista knows every since fragrance with notes of rose has its own distinct personality. This Valentine’s Day, I am celebrating rose fragrances with 5 of my personal picks, and 20+ additional rose fragrances you should get to know.

It was only up to a few weeks ago that I became interested in rose fragrances again. I was at a local insurance company a few days ago and the agent smelled like a dream come true. She told me Elizabeth & James Nirvana Rose was her signature fragrance. This inspired me to search for my signature rose fragrance.

My personal picks:

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rose ($76, Sephora) is a light-hearted fragrance for the young, and young at heart. Viva La Juicy Rose opens with citrus notes with rose at the heart that dries down to a flawless ambrox finish.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rose Review

Givenchy Very Irresistible L’Eau en Rose ($32.99) was released 10 years after the original in 2014 to celebrate the queen of all flowers-the rose. This versatile fragrance opens with notes of blackberry with a rose heart and a dry down of musk.

Michael Kors Rose Radiant Gold ($65.99) is for the woman that loves rose but is not the center of her fragrance obsessed world. Rose Radiant Gold opens with strong spicy notes, with middle notes that lean heavily on jasmine with a light hint of rose and dries down to a sensual musk.

Bvlgari Rose Essentielle ($35.09) is a celebration of roses from the first spray. It begins with a romantic blend of rose and violet with a heart of jasmine and a sandalwood dry down.

Dolce & Gabbana Rose The One ($43.89) is my all time favorite rose fragrance. Sadly, it’s been discontinued, and finding a bottle is near impossible, so let’s consider this the aspirational fragrance of the bunch. Rose The One opens to the most romantic burst of roses, with middle notes of lily and peony with a creamy vanilla dry down.
