Throwback Thursday: China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection

China Glaze Kaleidoscope

Before the advent of indie holographics, there were only three mainstream options:  OPI Designer Series and China Glaze’s OMG and Kaleidoscope collections.  I still remember when you could purchase any of them from an online e-tailer at discount prices.  Oh, how I miss those days.

China Glaze Kaleidoscope came in two sets: Warm and Cool.  They are scattered holographics with a strong prismatic flame.  All of them required 3 coats; the formula is a bit thin and requires some patience.  These are all shown over an aqua base coat to maximize the holographic effect.

If you enjoyed this walk down memory lane, stay tuned:  I’ll be back with China Glaze OMG.  I might even schedule another swatching session with my beloved holographic OPI Designer Series.

I still have like 4 bottles from this collection. I feel like I need Octa Gone Wild but I have nubs. But I could have cute, purple holographic nubs yanno?

They are all so beautiful! I always love your swatches, thanks for sharing xx
