Wet n Wild Megaplump Waterproof Mascara: Before and After; Review

My adventure in Rite Aid led me to Wet n Wild Megaplump Waterproof Mascara. This mascara promises plump lashes all packed into one waterproof formula. 3 times the volume? We shall see!

Wet n Wild Megaplump is packaged in a hot pink tube with black lettering. It’s very sassy and bold. I have no problems with the tube as far as holding, applying mascara, or storing the tube itself.

The brush is very small so the promise of plump lashes is dependent on the formula alone right? Pulling the brush out of the tube leaves a lot of product on the end of the wand, but there was not a lot of excess on the wand itself.

Application/ Formula

Application was simple, almost too simple. It felt as if I was not applying mascara at all. I had no clump of mascara on my lashes, nor did I experience my lashes bunched up together.  The formula made my lashes slightly darker, but no noticeable  or impressive volume. I also want to note that its not heavy on the lashes.  I’m glad I only paid $1.29 for this, otherwise I would be angry!

Yes the formula is waterproof, but in the grand scheme of things, that’s not important. Where are my dramatic lashes? Wet n Wild Megaplump.jpg

In conclusion, nothing about this mascara impressed me. My lashes did not have noticeable volume which overall left me disappointed. Either this tube was really old, or there was a formula change along with a packaging change.

Wet n Wild Megaplump Waterproof mascara retails for $2.99. You can find it in just about every drugstore.
