Hey everyone! Summer is wrapping up and school is back in session…which means fall is just around the corner! The weather may not reflect the seasonal change, but nail polish brands start to roll out the autumnal colors en masse. Zoya’s fall 2016 Urban Grunge collection is inspired by the 1990s…I think Zoya has the correct mood with their color choices.
August (two coats): luxurious leather gray
Courtney (two coats): deep red beet root
Mallory (two coats): full bodied Prussian blue
Noah (two coats): mid-range taupe
Tara (two coats): purple plum
Wyatt (two coats): true racing green
All of the cremes applied well in 2 coats. No complaints here.
Alicia (two coats): scattered silver holo with a touch of gold
Ash (two coats): vibrant cherry with red and gold shimmer
Britta (two coats): berry metallic with red and purple flash
Finley (two coats): deep royal purple scattered holo
Merida (two coats): lush evergreen scattered holo
Troy (two coats): liquid pewter with a touch of black and gold
I have to say this: Zoya’s Urban Grunge Metallic collection is the BEST COLLECTION I’ve seen in 2016. THE BEST. There is not a dud in the collection…yes, you need all of them. ALL OF THEM.
I was worried that Alicia was going to be a glitter with a frosted base *glares at OPI* but Zoya instead released a scattered silver holographic with a gold flash. It’s not bumpy at all! Ash and Britta are fantastic foil-like polishes…they are opaque in one coat. Their rich colors definitely scream fall to me. Troy looks like a darker version of one of my favorites, Chanel Graphite. Finally, Finley and Merida are scattered holographic polishes with a jelly base. Zoya, if you’re listening, I need every color with this finish!
Fantastic crèmes and AMAZING metallics…this collection is definitely worth stalking down. I will personally vouch for the whole metallic set. It is definitely worth the buy!
